Why does this site exist? I'm glad you asked.

I don't expect this to be a heavily-visited, often-updated Mac site like these are. This is mostly my "notebook in the sky" where I can keep lists of settings and random notes about all things Apple.

I've always felt that the best way to be successful is to find someone who has done what you want to do and copy them. I've been working with Macs for over ten years now and a lot of people ask me questions about them. (Hey, I was as surprised as anyone when it started happening.) So, I put this site together so if someone likes what I've done, I can point them here instead of writing/saying the same thing over and over. Also, it'll help me clean my room--I can put up all my old "How-to-do-XYZ-on-a-Mac" notes here. And, like everyone else, I like to hear myself talk, so I'll also occasionally post commentary on things Apple is doing.

As you can see from the list of topics on the left, this site will cover:

How does this site run? Here's a quick list:
  1. Hardware: Apple Mac Mini
  2. Operating system: Mac OS X 10.3 (Panther)
  3. Web server: Apache
  4. Database: MySQL
  5. Scripting language: PHP
  6. Weblog package: Geeklog
